Course cancellation, rescheduling, and refund guidelines
We understand that plans change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair while allowing us to maintain quality training with limited class sizes.
Cancellation by Student
14+ Days Before Course Start
Full Refund
100% refund of course fees, minus a $25 administrative processing fee.
7-13 Days Before Course Start
50% Refund or Full Reschedule Credit
Receive a 50% refund, OR reschedule to any available date within 90 days at no additional cost.
Less Than 7 Days Before Course Start
No Refund - Reschedule Credit Available
No refund available, but you may reschedule to any available date within 60 days for a $50 rescheduling fee.
No-Show
No Refund or Reschedule
Students who fail to attend without prior notice forfeit all fees and are not eligible for rescheduling.
How to Cancel or Reschedule
To cancel or reschedule your training, contact us using one of the following methods:

Please include your full name, course date, and booking confirmation number. Cancellation requests must be received during business hours (Mon-Fri, 8 AM - 6 PM MT) to be processed for that day.
Cancellation by Ride Fear Free®
We may cancel or reschedule a course due to:
- Insufficient enrollment (minimum students required)
- Severe weather conditions that compromise safety
- Instructor emergency or illness
- Facility or equipment issues
- Other circumstances beyond our control
If we cancel a course, you will receive your choice of a full refund or credit toward a future course of equal or greater value. Ride Fear Free® will make every effort to notify you at least 48 hours in advance.
Weather Policy
Motorcycle training requires outdoor riding in varying conditions. Courses proceed in light rain or cold weather as these are valuable learning experiences. We cancel only for severe conditions including lightning, heavy rain, extreme temperatures (below 35°F or above 100°F), or hazardous road conditions. Weather-related cancellations by Ride Fear Free® result in full reschedule credit at no charge.
Course Failure & Retakes
If you do not pass the skills evaluation:
- You will receive detailed feedback on areas needing improvement
- You may retake the course within 90 days for a reduced fee of 50% of the original course price
- Additional private coaching sessions are available to address specific skills
- There is no limit to the number of retakes, but each is subject to the retake fee
Dealer-Sponsored Training
If your training was sponsored or paid for by a motorcycle dealership as part of a purchase, cancellation and refund policies may vary based on the dealer agreement. Please contact the sponsoring dealer directly for their specific policies. Ride Fear Free® will coordinate with the dealer regarding any rescheduling requests.
Private Coaching Sessions
Private coaching sessions have a separate cancellation policy:
- 48+ hours notice: Full refund or reschedule at no charge
- 24-48 hours notice: 50% refund or reschedule with $25 fee
- Less than 24 hours: No refund; full session fee charged
Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Credit card refunds may take an additional 5-10 business days to appear on your statement depending on your financial institution.
Special Circumstances
We understand that emergencies happen. In cases of documented medical emergencies, military deployment, or family emergencies, please contact us directly. We review these situations on a case-by-case basis and will work with you to find a fair solution.
